I apparently need a certain amount of drama in my life; I’ve realized this finally and now I’m embracing it – not to be mistaken, I’ve been embracing it for a long time, I’m just admitting it now. Which is why I’m starting a business, flipping a house in another city, renting my house out (and cleaning it from top to bottom) and going on a 7 week trip to the other side of the world all at the same time. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) it appears the TV show didn’t work out, which is probably best.
Stay tuned here and I’ll be documenting how it all pans out and the inevitable bumps in the road on the way.
First observation: I highly recommend renting your house out if for no other reason than to purge all the crap that’s been sitting around in dark corners and to finish all those home improvement projects you’ve been putting off. It’s very liberating. I always joke that our houses have never looked better than the day we’ve sold them, but now this one looks awesome AND we get to live in it!
More to come… got to pack!
